Bukit Batok maintained their play-off push with an impressive 22-12 victory over Pierce Sec at Bishan Park.
Gladwin Tan and Pow Jie Ming "Power" scored tries to help the Redwingers clinch their first win on their day one of the season.
Gladwin Tan "The Gladiator" scored a hat trick on match day one and convert one of the conversion. On the other hand Pow Jie Ming "Power" scored only one try.
Pierce scored the opener and didn't convert the try on the 15 min (5-0), but just after that Elfy "BigBoot" kick into their 22m from the restart mark.

After 12 mins of hard fight, pierce manage to break through our defence and score their 2nd try of the day and also converted the try on the half hour mark and lead the 2nd time (12-5).
Coach Zaki insipre the team after he gave them some really good scolding, as the team go in the 2nd half and dominate the game. Gladwin Tan pick the ball up after winning a scrum and go all the way alone from 50m and score his 2nd try of the day over at the corner but miss the convertion (12 - 10) 45 min. On the 50 min Elfy kick an up and under ball into the opposition half and Zul pick up inside their 22m as he pass the ball to Pow Jie Ming straight after recieving it. Pow then dashed all the way as he burn through the Pierce backs and score the try (12-15) and Gladwin Tan convert the try to make the score (12-17).
As we are leading the team was full of confidence, Sammy Goh "Scoop" the scrum half run 30m away from the tryline to score his debut try,but it was not allow after he drop the ball just before placing it down. Soon after that Gladwin Tan make another remarkable try, running all the way from the 50m alone dashing and snashing through the Pierce Defence alone bring the score board to (12- 22) Missed convertion.
