Jurong sent Unity to the 3rd/4th match

Jurong Secondary school easily beat Unity Secondary school 36 vs 0 and book a place in the Bowl Finals. Red will face Jurong Secondary in the Finals over at CCAB 14 of April 4:45pm Singapore time.

Alun-Wyn Tan Confident of victory

Alun-Wyn firmly believes Reds are a stronger team than Jurong and he is feeling confident ahead of tuesday's final clash at Evans road.“Jurong have some good lads and a good coach, but we know we are stronger,” he said.Confidence is high in the Reds camp after the Reds secured tuesday's semi-finals with a great defence.The result boost Reds back to their top form of the season after losing all their games in the pool stage, and the hard-earned win bring them to the finals.

Alun-Wyn hopes that this will make the team mentality stronger."In my opinion we are the best team in the bowl, and our results shows that," he said. "We have a bad time in the pool stage, but in the knock out bowl we have show people what we can do and what we are capable of."The Reds did just that, reaffirming that Bukit Batok rugby are well in the hunt for the bowl cup this season.

Alun-Wyn bantered with RWblogspot. "My nickname is 'Mr Big Balls' doesn't mean I got big balls," he joked. "But if I have one injured shoulder I'll still tackle on that day! We know it will be a difficult game. Their backs are dangerous players, and they work well as team."

Alexander Goh was an alumni of Bukit batok Rugby. He was part of the Singapore National U-16 developement team previously. He used to played for the Shang Hai Hairy Crabs in Shang Hai, CR&FC in Colombo and Causeway Bay RFC in Hong Kong, currently playing for the Bedok Kings RFC U-23 in Singapore.

MUHAMMAD ZAKI

Muhammad Zaki joined Red Wings Rugby in February 2009 as a Rugby Coach overlooking the U-14 and U-17 Men's players. He was part of the National Mens Team who won the Asian Division 1 Championship last year and is currently training with the squad for the A5N. During his National Service days, he played an integral part for the Engineers Formation Team and also represented SAFSA, currently playing for the Singapore Cricket Club.

EUAN MORRISON

Euan Morrison joined Red Wings rugby in September 2008 under the Standard Chartered Rugby Development Officer programme. Euan is working with the West and East region primary schools. Prior to joining Singapore Rugby, Euan worked with the Royal High Corstorphine RFC and the Scottish Rugby Union. Euan has an SVQ (Scottish Vocational Qualification) Level 3 in Rugby Coaching and Management. Euan also coached Edinburgh District under 15s boys. After weeks of Coaching the Reds he left and sign a new contract with Montfort rugby Lions.

Mr Jordan bring up the name of Red Wings Rugby, trained a few young lads like the likes of Bryan Tan, Quamarul and Harfiz. These 3 players got into the U-16 National team and 1 represented Singapore in one of the tour in Australia. Ollie completed his degree as a rugby coach from UWIC and is working with a rugby club in the UK.

Mr Drabble never give up on this bunch of underdogs, he transform them into a winning team and won third in the Bowl Competition. Currently living in Glouchester and is currently playing Rugby for the Wales National Rugby League team.

Reds March on to Police Cup Bowl Finals

Red Wings RFC, impressively disposed of Plate relegated team Montfort to book a one way ticket to CCAB and give themselves every chance of making it all the way to win the Bowl Cup for the first time in 7 years.

Veteran Reds Winger, Doug Ong Guo Yong, admitted he could not believe he was heading for the Bowl Finals after losing all games in the pool stage.

Doug Ong admitted:

"I am going to the Finals and cannot believe it.
I thought that today's game will be a difficult one, as Montfort walked over their previous game. Our lads have been playing an extra game after the pool stage and when we hear that Montfort walk over, we know that this game going to be a tiring one. We tired our best and never gave up,I know we will be getting the Bowl back home to Bukit Batok."
